IKEA - great for new ideas and particularly good for storage solutions. Some of their designs have been around for years now have become classics
Dulux - huge choice of paint colours. If you have a room that needs more light, try their light and space range. It is brilliant at making a little light go a long way
Fired Earth - if you a looking for colours that are different they have a great choice
B & Q - not just good for DIY stuff. There is an excellent selection of lamps, rugs, curtains and other nice things
Dunelm Mill - for me they cannot be beaten for good value rugs, bedding, curtains, cushions and many other home products.
Floors 2 Go - excellent value for laminates, but even better for real wood flooring.
Crown Paint - fantastic range of colour choice and paints to suit all household needs.
Habitat - I started buying things for my home from their first shop in Tottenham Court Road and they are still coming up with beautiful ideas.
DFS - always have a good range of excellent value furniture, particularly leather in a number of colours.
Laura Ashely - beautiful, distinctive design that is ageless.
Marks and Spencer - forever a favourite, always have what you are looking for. Their shop displays are full of simple but effective ideas

Adobe Colour Resource - intended for graphic designers, but this wonderful colour resouce site is excellent for helping harmonise colour in the home.
Next - perhaps best know for trendy clothes, but they also have a great homewares business that offers super design at really good prices.
