Rachel say that her images are always spontaneous because there is never the opportunity to structure and plan an image while racing yachts or diving in the sea. Water is emotive and diverse and she creates attractive images that draw in the viewer through bold use of colour and simple design.
Her images have a strong environmental message, but rather then producing images of sewage ridden waters, Rachel Fearnley captures scenes of beauty which say, “This is what we must protect.”
